Obituary of Amy Pauline Beatrice Benjamin

Amy Pauline Beatrice Benjamin Age 86, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Pauline was born in Black Islands, NL, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Georgina (Dorey) Webber. Pauline’s life was full of love and laughter. Her door was always open to friends and neighbours. She had a strong appreciation for history and family values. Her pride in Nova Scotia was ever evident. Pauline never missed a chance for a picnic or a day at the beach. Pauline enjoyed baking, gardening and decorating. She nurtured many long friendships over the years. Her commitment to church and community was steadfast. A life-long member of UCW, she willingly shared her wisdom and counsel. Pauline gave her children a full and happy childhood. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Thanks are extended to Dr. Edmunds for Pauline’s care. In Pauline’s memory, please share a cup of tea with a friend or a neighbour. Surviving are her daughters, Jane Benjamin (Brian), Saskatoon, Sask.; Bethe Benjamin-Cameron (Rick), O’Leary, PEI; sons, Phillip (Kris), Uxbridge, Ont.; Stephen (Lissa), Lewis Lake; Eric (Michelle), Paris, Ont.; grandchildren, Jodi, Victoria, Anne, Alexander, Ian, Peter, Cynthia, Shaun, Laura, Jennifer, Graeme, Alisha, Justine, Natalie; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Gass, Bridgewater. She was predeceased by husband, John Fenwick Benjamin; brothers, Ralph and David in infancy. A Celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Monday, March 6 in West Side United Church, Pentz with Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
