Obituary of Henry Foste

Henry Johnson Foste 82, of Parkdale, Lunenburg County, passed away January 2, 2001 at home. Born in Maplewood, he was a son of the late Owen and Clara ( Milbury ) Foster. He was a veteran of the second world war, serving overseas in England. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and had served as a deacon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a great lover of the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Hawkesworth; 2 sons, Allan and wife Pearl Foster, Parkdale; Avard and wife Deborah Foster, Midville Branch; a daughter, Barbara and husband Nelson Veinot, Parkdale; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; four sisters, Elossie Baggs, Dartmouth; Gladys Pattingale, Chester; Jessie Clayton, Lawrencetown; Ruby Hubley, Mahone Bay; a brother Gordon Foster, Clinton, Ont.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son Clyde; sisters Venetia, Charlotte, Erdeana, Bessie; a brother Emery and twin brothers Kenneth and Kendell. Visitation will be this evening from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral Service will be held 2pm Thursday from the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Parkdale, Rev. Greg Denton officiating. Burial will follow in the Parkdale Maplewood Cemetery. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Parkdale, Parkdale Maplewood Cemetery Fund or any charity.
