Obituary of Ruby Etta Feindel

FEINDEL, Ruby Etta – Age 90 of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany on Friday, April 14, 2017. Born in New Germany, she was the daughter of the late John and Clarissa (Frail) Veinot. Ruby started working in her earlier years for her brother at Stanley Veinot’s General Store, New Germany; later on she went to work for the New Germany telephone office and then finished her working years with Barry’s Red and White where she was employed for 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Association and the Rosedale New Horizon’s Club. Her favourite past times included cooking, traveling, playing cards, attending functions, painting scenery from the area, organizing bus field trips and delivering Meals on Wheels. She was secretary of the Lenten Soup kitchen, organized the Foot Clinic and in earlier years, enjoyed camping and snowmobiling. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George; brothers, Stanley, Walter, Herman and Robert; sisters, Hazel and Dorothy. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 22 in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany. Rev. David Whynot officiating. A private family committal will follow in the church cemetery with a reception in the church hall. Donations in memory of Ruby may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, SHAID Animal Shelter, Rosedale Home for Special Care or charity of choice.
