Arnie started his career at LaHave Electric, followed by 28 years at Maritime Tel and Tell. He retired at the age of 52 but he always stayed busy. He took great joy in his large garden, yard and Christmas tree lot. A true family man, Arnie was always there to help. A great man, with an amazing soul and a memorable laugh, Arnie will be greatly missed by many. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Lauretta Kay (Bolivar); children, Adam, Sherry, Angela and Robert; grandchildren, Brandon, Ally, Brittany, Adam and Ryan and his great-grandchildren, Trenton, Grace and Ivan; brother, Melbourne “Mel” (Judy); sisters, Arlene Moore and Theresa Hardy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Florence; brother, Gordon and Buddy.

Visits to the Sarty home at #17600 highway 103, Italy Cross are welcomed from all family and friends to share memories and stories in the days ahead as well as after the service, this is what Arnie would want. We’ve lost our world as we have known it and with the help and support of all of you with whom he has touched, throughout this time, your visits will help us with this sudden loss of our husband and father. Service of Remembrance will be held 2 p.m., Friday, July 14 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice.
