Obituary of Barry Michael Spidle

SPIDLE, Barry Michael – The family are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Barry Michael Spidle, at the age 55, of Newburne, Lunenburg County. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Merlin and Margaret (Penney) Spidle.

Barry enjoyed working in the woods and at his current job with Hammerstone Corporation in Fort McMurray, Alberta. When Barry wasn’t working, he could be found enjoying the outdoors or spending time with family and friends and having a drink. He was a volunteer fire-fighter with the Cornwall and District Fire Department for 28 years.

Surviving are his wife, Joanne (Nauss) Spidle; daughters, Jasmine Spidle and Giselle Spidle, both at home; son, Justin (Candace), Newburne; grandchildren,  Savanna, Brayden and Bentley; his sisters, Joan Haskell (Stephen Joudrey), Upper Northfield; Judy Spidle (Bruce Knickle), Bridgewater; sister-in law, Cindy (Andrew) Langille, Oakland; brothers, Malcolm (Connie), Robert, John (Jeannie), all of Barss Corner; Trevor (Lisa) Spidle, Wileville; nieces and nephews, Tosha, Thomas (Vanessa), Sheldon, Matthew, Adrianna; several great nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Carroll Nauss.

By personal request there will be no visitation or service. No flowers please, donations may be made to the IWK Hospital, Cornwall and District Fire Department or charity of choice.
