Susan and I will miss Ron! What an amazing kind, gentle, wise, man. For the last 7 yrs we have jogged, hiked & now walk Crescent Beach area 3-5 per week. Often seeing Ron and his three dogs. We always called him "3 Dog Night" which bought a chuckle from him. (For many years we didn't even know his name) Small talk happened routinely, he always encourages us as we jogged the beach.We were the "Antique Joggers" as we ran in slow motion! :) :) He watched me actually loose 66 lbs over a 5 year diet and often commented on the changes! We shed a few tears today after chatting to his son in law and seeing his dogs today on the beach. For us this place will forever be called "Ron's 3 Dog Night Beach." May Ron and his wife forever rest in peace! Lives well lived!

Dear Letha, Nathaniel, and the rest of your family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your parents and loved ones. I first met Ron and Karen when Ron ((Leitold) and I moved to the farm in Barss Corner in 1979. I am sure they had lots of advice on the lifestyle Ron L and I were embarking upon. We were also part of the Lunenburg county food bank . I rarely went to the food pick ups as Ron L was often distributing honey, but I did see them at community events. Karen’s organization skills were impressive and I loved Ron’s laugh and sense of humour. Margie (King)

My deepest condolences to the family .I worked with JJ aren in both Provincial and Federal election and once as a Canada Observer .Karen had such a passion for political issues and learning how the system worked and passing on that knowledge to whoever she would meet. Her and Ron were the perfect couple with Ron happy at home while Karen off trying to helping to save the world .She will be missed by many and most of all by her family who was the world to her . Deepest condolences to you and your families. Karen was an incredible advocate for human rights and the environment. We admired her for her enthusiasm for the things that really matter in this world. We both also really enjoyed our conversations with Ron when we met him at the beach. He was such a well-read and intelligent individual with a great sense of humour. My sincere condolences to the family of Ron Reinhardt. Ron was an avid rugby player and he leaves fond memories of our times at Halifax Rugby Club and of attending Dalhousie together and sharing accommodation in the early 1970's. Images from the Dalhousie University Yearbook 1971.

My condolences to the family. I haven't seen Ron for over 50 years when we played rugby for the Halifax Rugby Club. Ron was a great guy and the fact that I remember him after all these years attests to the impression he left with me.

My condolences to Nathaniel and Morgan at this sad time. I remember Ronnie well as he picked up both my children for ten years and safely drove them to school. They loved him for he was fun and reliable on each and every trip. I will think of him often every time I go to Crescent Beach with my dog, Mimi.
