Alice (Mary) Hirtle Please note that due to the winter storm the service location has been changed from Middlewood United Church to Sweeny's Funeral Chapel on York St. in Bridgewater, 11am Tuesday 16 November. 83, Hebbs Cross formerly of Watford, Lunenburg Co., passed away Saturday, November 13, 2004 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Baker Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Ina (Oickle) Mailman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her children, Wayne (Louise), Bridgewater; Laverne (Clarence Slauenwhite), Hebbs Cross; Curtis (Donna), West Northfield; Darlene (Peter McKean), Pinehurst. Step daughters, Irene (Roderick Feener), West Northfield; Mary (Murray Beck), Watford. Several grandchildren, several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Robert, a son in infancy. Grandson, James McKean; grandson, Blaine Feener. Sisters, Jessie Crouse and an infant sister Bessie; brothers, Herbert, Harris, Frank, Gordon, Carmen.. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday in Middlewood United Church. Rev. Wayne Mitton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Middlewood United Church or any charity.
