Obituary of Monica Paul

Monica May (Sydow) Paul 40, Bridgewater, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in New Glasgow after a long and extremely courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Truro, on April 30, 1964, she was the daughter of Heinz (Barbara) Sydow, Aylesford and Marion (Paul) Toole, Nictaux. Surviving are her partner Barry MacCulloch; her beautiful daughters, Jennifer, Bedford; Nikki, Bridgewater; grandparents, Robert and Rose Piggott, Shelburne. Also leaving to mourn are her brothers, Jeffrey, Middleton; Michael, Lower Sackville; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Monica will be sadly missed by her beloved pet Haley; best friends, Sherry, Sue and Kim as well as Barry’s family, Lydia, Sandra, Brian, Heather and their families. Monica was employed for 11 years with Atlantic Superstores up until her illness. Monica enjoyed quilting, candle parties and the beach. She was predeceased by her grandmother Reta Piggott. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday with funeral service 2 p.m. Friday all in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Rev. Quincy Collins officiating. Cremation will follow the service with interment in Kingston at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made in her memory to Q.E. II Health Sciences Foundation Leukemia Trust Fund.
