Obituary of Alvin Earle MacKay

MACKAY, Alvin Earle – It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alvin Earle MacKay, age 65, Halifax, formerly of New Germany on Thursday, July 29, 2021 in Bridgewater. He was born October 26, 1955 in Bridgewater and was the son of Jean (DeLong) (MacKay) Mosher of Bridgewater and the late Hubert MacKay.

After graduating from New Germany Rural High School, Alvin traveled the Atlantic Provinces in sales and marketing of clothing. Later he then worked in Halifax in clothing retail until his retirement.

Surviving is his mother, Jean Mosher, Bridgewater; daughter, Jennifer MacKay and good childhood friend, Graham Wentzell, Bridgewater.

He was predeceased by his father, Hubert MacKay and two sisters, in infancy.

A public graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 7 in Epworth Cemetery, School Street, New Germany with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to Epworth United Church or charity of choice.
