Obituary of Emily Elaine Croft

Croft, Emily Elaine – Age 85 of Buckfield, passed away August 1, 2021, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Chelsea on October 22, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Ingram and Etta Gillmore of Chelsea. She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Croft of Buckfield; pre-deceased by her first husband, Harold Henley of Bridgewater with whom she had four children; son, George Henley (Monica) of Halifax; daughter, Carol Snyder (Geoffrey) of Bridgewater; daughter Connie Massey (David) of Chelsea, and Cari Henley (Jayson) of Boutilier’s Point. Emily adored and loved her many grandchildren (Corey, Nicole, Sara, Melissa, Justin, Joshua, Chelsea, and Madeleine), and enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren (Zahria, Jacob, Emilee, and Chase).

 Emily spent most of her life caring for children in her home and loved them all as if they were her own. On the farm, she enjoyed tending to her gardens and found pleasure in sharing the beauty of her flowers with family and friends. Emily was a hardworking, determined, curious, and fun-loving woman with a warm heart, bright smile, and a great strength. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved, and she will be forever missed.

A funeral service for immediate family only will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 6 in the Chelsea United Baptist Church, with a public graveside service following at 2:30 pm in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea.
