We were very sad to hear of Shirley’s passing.
Last November we made a surprise visit with Aunt Shirley, she was so welcoming and happy to see us.
We had a wonderful visit and we are so happy we dropped by to see her.
She was a beautiful person.

So very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Through reading her obituary it was obvious that she wasn’t one to sit, wait or procrastinate about doing things…. She just did them.

It is with a broken heart that I heard the news about Shirley’s passing. Shirley (& her family) were my parents next door neighbours for over fifty years. They were the best neighbours imaginable. Their house was my second home.
Shirley was a woman way ahead of her time. She worked with special needs children, travelled, & helped everyone on Hickman street. Shirley had a heart of gold.
One of many favourite memories about Shirley was the day my sister & I finished cleaning out our parents house. We brought Shirley over 2 ceramic figurines that mom loved so she’d have them in memory of our mother. She made my sister and I dishes of strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and the three of us sat there reminiscing, laughing & crying about our beloved Hickman street, eating ice cream.
Shirley was a big part of all our lives on Hickman street. Our childhoods and our past are inextricably connected to this wonderful human. RIP Shirley. ♥️

Love the pictures Amy ♥️. Shirley was a lovely lady. Whenever I would meet her, and say hi there Mrs Romo...she would always say "I'm not Mrs.Romo..I'm Shirley". Always a smile on her face. Treasure those memories and keep them close. Sending hugs♥️
