Obituary of Gloria Ruth Richards

RICHARDS, Gloria Ruth – Age 82, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on March 11, 2025, in Lunenburg. Born in St. Thomas, ON., she was a daughter of the late Richard Orval and Eva (Morris) Tustian. 

Gloria made many friends during her long career in the finance department of the former Dawson Memorial and South Shore Regional Hospitals, Bridgewater. She brought joy and laughter to those around her, especially her family. Gloria's unwavering faith created a legacy that will continue to inspire them.

Surviving are her sons, David (Amy) Hirtle, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Samuel (Stephanie) Hirtle, Medford, Oregon; grandchildren, Dan (Holland) Hirtle, Sean (Kendra) Hirtle, Emily (Kai) Bradshaw, Sophie Hirtle, Benjamin Hirtle and Nicole Hirtle; sisters, Diane (Wayne) Hunt, Pine Grove; Molly (John) Hirtle, Hawaii; many nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, David L. Hirtle and second husband, Edgar Richards; sisters, Janice McBride, Karen Bullock; and brothers, Owen Tustian and Robert Tustian.

A funeral service will be held beginning at 1 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2025, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 337 Aberdeen Rd., Bridgewater, with Mr. Charles Hunt officiating.
