Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Dianne and I met shortly after the loss of Lennie when we shared the love of playing piano. We laughed, cried and hugged throughout her lessons as we both looked forward to seeing each other at the next one. A chance encounter at the SSRH blood collection was the last time I saw her bright eyes and warm smile. My sincere condolences to her family.

To Diane's family,and treasured friends: So sorry for your loss. Have known her all my life, but began to truly know her over these past 6 years. She introduced me to her late cousin, Susan Levy at that time. And Diane and I became FaceBook friends. I so enjoyed our infrequent messages back and forth, and checked her posts that encouraged, and enlightened one's mood EVERY DAY. She was a woman who started her days on a positive note, which is not easy, when facing health challenges. Her faith was strong, and I'm sure she now lies in the arms of those who passed before her. RIP, second cousin of mine.

Dearest Holly, Pat, Stephanie , Donnie and families,
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom, Diane……When I entered your family in the early 80’s I was welcomed by your mom with open arms. She was a breath of fresh air with a contagious smile, laugh and a hug like no other. Over the years I grew to appreciate her presence and honesty and certainly a sense and zest for the truly important things in life. Family. I can not appreciate your loss of her as your Mom but I will miss her as someone who I would call a dear friend.

This quote summarizes how I felt becoming part of Diane’s extended family. She welcomed me unconditionally with open arms, included me in the family, and made me somehow feel important. I will be forever grateful for that.
I was shocked by the news of her passing. She was so full of life and humour. The thought of not seeing her smile again, feeling the warmth of her big hugs, or hearing her laughter, fills me with sadness. Family gatherings will never be the same.
