Trudy and i go back to when we were 14 years old. We reconnected about a year ago. I received a text from her on March 29th. And, we had talked on the phone for over half an hour just a couple of days before that. We laughed about those early years as teenagers. We spoke of friends who had passed. We shared stories of our families. We did not know her time would be so limited. I was about to send her a quick "hello" text. Just because. And it was then I received a text from a mutual friend who told me of Trudy's passing. I am so thankful we had the chance to find each other again after so many years. Fly high my friend. Until we meet again.
