Murray Bruhm

Obituary of Murray Victor Bruhm

Murray, your pain is now gone and your spirit is free. Let us celebrate the life of a man who lived every day to its fullest.

With family by his side, Murray, age 62, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at home in Barss Corner. Born in Bridgewater, May 2, 1962, to Barbara (Oickle) Bruhm, of West Northfield and the late Randolph Bruhm. Murray was the oldest of four and only son to Barbara and Randolph. Murray has three younger sister’s, Annette (Rickey), Angela (Marty), and Loretta (Neil).  It was his sister Annette that introduce Murray to the love of his life Melinda (Leary), who was by his side, through it all for the last 44 years, married 34 of those years. They were blessed with a baby girl 28 years ago; Gabrielle, loved her father dearly.  His friends would call her “Little Murray” as she often trailed behind him everywhere he went.

Murray is also survived by his 101-year-old grandmother, Jean; Uncle Carol, Aunt Virginia (Edward), Aunt Shirley; Mother In-law Mary; sister In-law Rosanne (Jeff).  Murray was an uncle to Tyler (Chassidy), Cody (Jillian), Michaela (Alex), Nick and Rachael (Brandon); Great Uncle to Axel, Maverick, Rosalynn, Carley, Jamieson, Weston, Jayla, and Renlee.

Murray’s love for automobiles started very early in life.  Mechanic by trade, it was his love of racing that truly excited him. On the day his daughter Gabrielle was born he could not wait to get to the racetrack to win her a trophy. Racing ran through his veins! He started with street racing which then grow into snowmobile, stock car, 4X4 rallying, drag racing, lawn tractors and last, tractor pulling.

In November of 2004 he purchased a new love, his tow truck and for the next 20 years, Murray rescued people from all over the South Shore and surrounding areas. Murray had many loyal customers who will miss him; their repeat service was greatly appreciated!

Predeceased by his father, Randolph; Randolph’s three brothers, Randolph’s nine sisters, Rennie (father In-law), Tristen (nephew), Oran (grandfather), Angus (grandfather), Alma (grandmother) and Dawn (aunt).

On April 12 God called Murray home.  You are now racing from cloud to cloud, out of pain.
