Dear Cindy, So very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. We were the best of friends for such a very long time, and I loved her dearly. Now she is in the arms of your dad. To lose your mom is to lose your best friend. Believe that you will see your mom and dad again.Dave and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family.
My memories of Nancy go back to the 1960s at Tantallon when she and her birth family would spend summers at their camp on Longard’s Road. This is where she met the love of her life, Donny. I didn’t get to know her well until we both lived at Five Island’s Lake. We spent many hours talking and laughing as Nancy learned to cook for Donny and Cindy. It was hilarious. After navigating her way through those early days she became involved with Donny’s business “doing the books” for their successful business.
She always could make me laugh and I repeated many of her lines. They were originals.
In 1975 Nancy hosted a baby shower for my first child and overwhelmed me with gifts to take my daughter through her first year of life. A generous, giving person she always had a welcoming smile and an offer of a “cuppa tea”. I will miss her being part of my extended family. Rest in peace, Nancy, and say hello to Donny for me.
We will always remember Nancy, not just as a cousin in law, but as a warm, welcoming person. We admired her dedication to her family; how she took care of her mother in law, Aunt Elaine and whenever we visited we were hugged and kissed and there was always treats layed out for everyone. She and Donny got married when I was 10 yrs old and I remember seeing her in her wedding dress and how beautiful she was!
She will always be remembered with love!

Cindy, Wally, Shawn, Ryan and family there are no words to express how heartbroken I am by Aunt Nancy's passing. She was a bright light in this world, always ready to share food, drink, laughter and love. I have so many good memories growing up with her that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
