Obituary of Nancy Edith Herman

HERMAN, Nancy Edith - August 16, 1950 - April 21, 2025

Age 74, of Blockhouse. It is with profound grief that we share the passing of Nancy, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend who passed away on April 21, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was the lady beside her husband throughout their 50 years of adventures. They balanced each other through the hardships of life, fun, and most of all love. She was a wonderful entertainer and always cooked and baked for everyone. When you visited, it felt like your own home. Everyone was welcome, but you always had to have something to eat or drink to make her smile.

She was predeceased by her parents Florence (Longard) and William Studley; sisters, Anne and Heather; brothers, Francis, James, Donnie, Roy and Bobby, and her husband of 50 years, Donald Herman. She is survived by her daughter Cindy (Wally), her grandsons, Shawn (Meghan), Ryan (Rae); great granddaughters, Charlotte, Everly, Isla; great grandson Hayden; her brother Barry; nieces; nephews; sisters in law, and life-long friends.

Many thanks to the Valley Regional Hospital, SSRH-4th floor and Emergency Department nurses. The family would also like to thank Dr. D Edmonds, Dr. Heather Johnson and Dr. D Dutoit. Special thanks to nurse Chelsea Coolen for her compassion and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, from 2-4 pm at 98 Raypoint Road, Blockhouse. A private burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
