Obituary of Carroll "Papa A" Wayne Veinot

VEINOT, Carroll Wayne – Age 63, of Hemford. Passed away suddenly on April 16, 2025. Born in Hemford, in the family home to the late, Carmon J. and Flossie A. (Smith) Veinot.

He is survived by his only daughter, Anna (Tyler); grandchildren, Aalayah and Carter Smith; sisters, Hazel, Laverne (Bruce), Gladys (Ralph), Leith, Cheryl, Iris (Vincent); brothers, Beverly (Dolly), Richard, Merlin (Laurie).  Carroll was predeceased by his parents; grandparents, Fay and Lucy Smith and Ephriam and Mary Veinot; brothers, Harold, Leon, Dwayne, Bruce, and Linwood; and sisters, Roselene and Evelyn.

"Papa A" was a proud grampa. He enjoyed being outdoors, in the woods. Carroll also loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends.

There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Garber Family Playground, Hemford and the Hemford and District Fire Department. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 30^th, 2025, at 1 p.m., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany, with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Hemford Cemetery. The family will meet everyone for a public Reception in Celebration for both Linwood and Carroll Veinot, in the Hemford Fire Hall, following the burial in the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany.
