Obituary of Irving Edward Woodworth

Woodworth, Irving Edward – age 86, died May 5^th, 2025, in Simpsons Corner. Born in New Germany, Lunenburg Co., he was the son of the late Ernest and Alice (Hyson) Woodworth.

Irving worked many jobs in his long life.  Lastly, he was a Mechanic in the city of Dartmouth before retiring.  In his spare time, he was a Jack-of-all-trades, and he was always helping his family and neighbors without hesitation…well, unless it was his wife Doris who needed his help, or it was Whitetail season.  To keep himself busy, Irving enjoyed gardening, local card parties and just giving a helping hand.   

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Edward Woodworth, Michael (Kathleen) Woodworth, Darrin (Susan) Woodworth, and Troy Woodworth; his grandchildren, Jonathan Woodworth, and Hanna Woodworth; and his great-grandchildren, Salara and Leander. Besides his parents, Irving was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Doris.

Respectful of Irving’s wishes, there will be no service held. A private burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. No flowers please, donations may be made to the Hillside Cemetery Fund or the Simpsons Corner Community Hall.
