I was saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. He always had time to chat, especially about the “Habs”. Our last conversation was at the LCLC a few months ago and we chatted about the old timers games we played against each other over the years. And of course the rebuilding Habs. He will one of a kind. Sincere condolences.

Little did I realize that when I started working for the Province in 1988 it would include a position on "the government" softball team for 27 years thanks to Ron, who was the best teammate a person could ask for. Like all of us Ron would make the occasional error but I recall one season he was flawless. He scooped all the hot grounders and somehow, with jumping skills no better than mine, snagged all the high and wide ones. That's how I remember you my friend, enjoying that perfect season.
Deepest condolences Debbie, Clay, Eric and Patrick

Dear Debbie, Clayton, Eric, and Patrick
I was very sorry to hear of Ron's Passing. He was a colleague and friend of mine. We worked together at Family and Children's Services and played together on the same softball and hockey teams.
My fondest memories of Ron are of him, in the middle of a scrum, telling a yarn about Cape Breton, making an interesting comment or delivering a well timed joke.
Ron will be sadly missed.
He truly was a great guy.
My condolences

I met Ron shortly before he married Deb. I always loved his wit and keen sense of humor; he was someone that I always knew I could share a good laugh with. He was a wonderful father, friend, and husband. As a probation officer, he saw some of the worst of life but didn't let it get him down. I learned a lot from him over the years and still use those pearls of wisdom. We shared great times together and I'll surely miss those and him. He's in heaven now, hunting with all his buddies. Love you Ron. B
