Obituary of Ronald Kenneth Silver

SILVER, Ronald Kenneth – Age 79, of Lower Northfield, Lunenburg Co. Ronald passed away unexpectedly on Saturday June 21, 2025. Born May 7^th, 1946, in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late, Harold and Helen (Lohnes) Silver, of Lower Northfield.

Ronald worked for many years at Holland’s Carriers, and when he retired, he took up farming full time. He was a known regular at the Atlantic Stock Yard, in Truro where he met many great friends. Dad was his happiest when he was buying or selling cattle and hauling them.

Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn; and sisters, Elaine and Joan. He is survived by his son, Scott (Laine) Silver; daughter, Jennifer Silver (Dave Moore); grandson, Gage Silver; brother, Donnie (Patricia) Silver, and his many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Ronald will be held 1 p.m., Saturday June 28^th, 2025, at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York St., Bridgewater, with Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. Private family burial at Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hillside Cemetery, Upper Northfield, or a charity of choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
