Obituary of Randolph Merle Slaunwhite
Slaunwhite, Randy (Randolph) Merle – age 75, of Conquerall Bank, passed away quietly on August 6th, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Randy was born in Halifax on July 30th, 1950. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Darlene. Randy dearly loved family and friends and was like a brother to sisters-in-law Marilyn, Ann, and Carolyn (Jeremy). He will be missed by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Moyle and Gladys Slaunwhite, and was the last surviving member of his family.
As you all know, Randy had a very wicked sense of humor and was always ready for a good laugh. He was a friend to everyone he met and would do whatever he could to brighten your day. He had a firm and genuine handshake. Randy was a music lover and outdoor enthusiast. He was retired from MT&T, having worked many roles in his 30-year career.
Randy believed you should live life like you are on vacation. A fitting tribute to Randy would be to do a kind deed and raise a glass of cheer to anyone you meet.
The family wishes to express their special thanks to Dr. Thibideau and the team at South Shore Regional Hospital for their excellent care. Our sincere gratitude also goes to the staff at Shoreham Village for the compassion and loving care Randy received.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, September 6th, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater. Interment following the service in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Truly a life well lived.
