HIRTLE, Annabelle Gertrude - Age 101 of Dayspring, Lunenburg Co., passed away September 8, 2025, in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Annabelle was born in Pleasantville, Nova Scotia on December 28, 1923, to the late Alice Gertrude and Wallace Oakes.

Annabelle was a stay-at-home mom, and an avid gardener. She loved doing crosswords and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Annabelle is survived by her children, Bruce (Elizabeth), Linda James (Ken), Brian (Ann), and Gary (Carol); seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Warren David Hirtle; brothers, Everett Oakes and Norman Oakes; as well as two infant brothers, Carl and William Oakes; son, Billy; son-in-law, Frank James, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hirtle.
