Obituary of Lucille Melvina Selig

Lucille “Lucy” Melvina (Lohnes) Selig - Born July 12, 1937, passed peacefully Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater, NS. She was the daughter of the late Foster and Florence (Bolivar) Lohnes, formerly of Upper Northfield and was one of 13 children. She was the loving mother of, and will be dearly missed by her son Scott Lawrence Selig of Bridgewater, NS, and her siblings Eldred, Cecil, Basil, Ethel, Gloria, Faye and Betty-Jean. She is predeceased by her son Brent L. Selig, as well as her siblings Gordon, Charles, James, Edsel, and Sylvia.

A memorial service will be held at Sweeny's Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, NS, Thursday, October 23 at 2:00pm. Private family interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery, 106 York Street, Bridgewater, NS. A reception and celebration of life will be held at son Scott's home, 109 Micmac Avenue, Bridgewater, NS, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care Bridgewater, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
