Obituary of Gladys Marie Cando

CANDO, Gladys Marie – Age 65, of Bridgewater. We regret to announce the passing of our mother Gladys Marie (Kenny) Cando who passed away on September 15, 2025.

Gladys was born on October 16, 1959, to parents, George & Loretta (White) Kenny. 

She is survived by her sister, Coreen Kenny, Newfoundland; brother, Tony Kenny, Newfoundland; and sons, Adam Cando and Curtis Cando, Nova Scotia. Gladys was an auntie to Kyla Miller and Aaron McDonald; and Nanny Glady to four grandchildren, Penelope Cando, Milly Cando, Orion Cando-Waque, and Rhodora Cando-Waque.

Besides her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Broderick Edward Cando; and her sister, Jean McDonald.

She enjoyed her time in the Comox Valley very much where she worked at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had many great friends, and loved skiing and gardening.

Gladys will be remembered by all who heard her fantastic laugh. She will be missed.
