Obituary of Stephen Harold Meisner

Stephen Harold Meisner, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at Shoreham Village in Chester, Nova Scotia, on December 13, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born in Halifax on January 22, 1955, Stephen was the adopted son of Giffin Stephen and Stella Jean (Kittle) Meisner of Brooklyn, Queens County, Nova Scotia. Stephen is survived by his daughter, Shawna (Chad) Nicholson of Fall River, Nova Scotia, and his son, Scott of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, Camryn and Sloan Nicholson, and Braeden, Colton, and Ivy Meisner. Stephen was predeceased by his second wife, Donna (Smith), and his parents, Giffin and Jean Meisner.

 In his earlier years, Stephen worked as a fisherman before dedicating thirty-five years of his life to Michelin in Bridgewater. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and dancing. In his later years, Stephen cherished road trips and coffee dates with his beloved wife, Donna, and found joy in playing the harmonica.

 For the last eight years of his life, Stephen resided at Shoreham Village, Chester, where he received exceptional care and kindness from the supportive staff. His family is deeply grateful for the extended family he gained during his time there.

Stephen’s legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
