Obituary of Barry Gordon Nicholson
Nicholson, Barry Gordon – of Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully at the age of 77.
Barry retired from CN Railroad and spent his retirement years happiest when able to help his family and neighbours with any projects they had, and could often be seen with either a snowblower or lawnmower in the back of his truck making his rounds. He was a man of few words, but showed his love by showing up.
Barry is survived by his children, Angela (James) Pratley, Chad (Shawna) Nicholson; granddaughters, Camryn, Olivia, Hannah, and Sloan; along with the mother of his children and dear friend, Gladys Nicholson. Barry is also survived by sisters, Carol and Joyce; along with nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
Barry is predeceased by parents, Angus and Marion Nicholson; siblings, Donald, Glenn, Robert, Marlene, Jean, Dayle, and Stanley (infancy).
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of a formal service, a private celebration of life will take place at a later date. Donations in Barry’s memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife.
