Reggie started working at an early age at Lahave Auto, Lahave Street, Bridgewater. He trained to be an auto mechanic; however, his true speciality was alternators and starters.  Within a few years, he left Lahave Auto to venture on his own. He owned and operated Dufferin Auto & Diesel Electric Co. Ltd for over 50 years.

Reggie was known for his humor, his joking ways, and kindness. He had a great love for his family.  Reggie loved to camp and travel with his family. The family started tenting and gradually moved up to his beloved motorhomes. In his later years, his love of travel took him to Florida. This became a yearly event until he had serious medical conditions that prevented him from travelling. Reggie loved music. In his early years he played in the Bridgewater Firemen’s Band. He could play many instruments by ear such as a trumpet, a harmonica and a mandolin. He had a love of hockey. In his childhood years, you could find him playing hockey on Wiles Lake. He was also known as a Rink Rat. There were many days, where you could find Reggie at the Bridgewater Skating Rink. In his later years, he was a big fan of Sid the Kid. Winters were spent with his family and friends playing pool in his family room or sitting around the family table playing cards where he was always known for cheating and hiding the ace of hearts. These were a few of his joys in life. Reggie lived by strong values of honesty, faith, commitment, integrity, hard work, and loyalty — values that guided both his actions and relationships.

The family wishes to thank the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital, ER nursing staff, and Dr.’s Raymond, Watson, Johnson, and Kuznetsov during his final days.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of a formal service, a graveside service and celebration of life reception will take place at a later date and will be announced when details are finalized. Family flowers only please, donations in Reggie’s memory can be made to SHAID Animal Shelter or a charity of choice.
