Obituary of Joyce Margaret Robar

ROBAR, Joyce Margaret – Age 87, of Bridgewater, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Cherryfield, she was a daughter of the late, Vernon and Annie (Joudrey) Robar.

Joyce is survived by brother, Raymond (Marlene); sister, Tammy (David); and sister-in-law, Izelda, all of Cherryfield. She was predeceased by brothers, Lawson and Murray Robar; and sister, Joan Eagles.

Joyce will be fondly remembered by those who knew her as a lover of animals. Evening walks would include a bag of treats for the neighborhood cats and dogs, as well as apples and carrots for the deer.

Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny‘s Funeral home, Bridgewater. No donations. Joyce requested that there is no service to be held.

Thank you to the Palliative Care Team at the South Shore Regional Hospital, who took wonderful care of Joyce, both at home and in the hospital. Your kindness and compassion were greatly appreciated. A special thank you also to June Robar, her dedication and care for Joyce has been invaluable.
