Obituary of Glenna Beryl Weagle
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to Glenna, age 82 of Shoreham Village, Chester and formally of West Dublin on February 1, 2026. Born in East Lahave, she was the daughter of James and Annie (Turnbull) Wamback.
Glenna will be deeply missed by her loving husband Eldon, daughter Julie (Nathan) Ott, son Adam (Joanne Contant) Weagle, grandchildren Jade and Ethan, sister Sally LaFleur, brother Micheal Wamback, sister-in-law Gloria Cox and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by sister Rossee Williams.
Glenna was a person who others enjoyed spending time with. She brought joy to those around her and was always looking to share a good laugh, tell a good story or simply just sharing a smile to make someone else’s day a little brighter. She always looked for the positive side of every situation and for ways to look out and help others. She spent a big part of her life raising her children and volunteering. Over the years she volunteered with Petite Riviere Elementary School, LaHave & District Fire Department Auxiliary, The Anglican Church New Dublin Parish, Co-op Board of Directors, Lunenburg Sea Cadets and many other organizations. Even after moving to Shoreham, she stayed involved helping to plan special events and bring concerns to resident council. She was an animal lover with many of her own and she enjoyed play times and snuggles, she found comfort in the love of animals during harder times. Glenna also loved music, she loved to sing whether it be on her own in a quiet corner or with others at church or a good country jam, music brightened her life and those around her. Glenna touched many hearts and her positive attitude and joy for life will continue on in those she was special to.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery West Dublin at a later date. Donations in Glenna’s memory may be made to the Shoreham Village Nursing Home Recreation Department.
Our family wish to extend a most heartfelt thank you to each and every one of the staff at Shoreham Village for the love, kindness and support you have given Glenna during her time there. You are considered her (and our) extended family and there is truly no “thank you” big enough.
In honour of Glenna take a moment to have a laugh with someone or just make someone smile and spread kindness.
