Dave always had a smile and a kind word. Every year he would bring me a big bundle of rhubarb when the crop came up. I will miss our impromptu conversations on the street whenever our paths crossed. My sincerest condolences to Peggy and the family. A life well lived.
Dave was a kind friend for years who I regretably lost touch with because of my chase for life experiences outside Chester. I have many fond memories of his gentle spirit. My sincere condolences to Peggy and family.

We grew up a few blocks from the Ostli home on Queen St. Any time my path crossed with David's over the years, he always seemed so cheerful. Just a totally kind person. Sending our sincere sympathy to Peggy and family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dave’s passing. My sincere heartfelt condolences to the family. I met Dave when he was working at the hardware store, shortly after I moved to Chester. His kind helpful demeanor made an impression and I sought him out each time I went to the store. We eventually became friends and I remember taking him to Gold River when he caught his first salmon. His yell of excitement over that fish could be heard a long way upstream over the noise of the running river. He was truly a kind soul. Rest easy David.
