I met Michele at the beginning of my HR career with the Province and her mentorship meant so much to me as a young person fresh out of school. Beyond work Michele and I enjoyed chatting about everything from our families to fur babies, to cooking and crafting. Even when I moved roles Michele would still check in with me from time to time so we could catch up. I'm so thankful for the time we have spent together and I'll miss her witty and down to earth personality. RIP Michele. Sending lots of love to her family and friends.

Michele and I traveled through the Western district for years together at TPW. We had fun, resolved HR issues, ate her delicious raspberry freezer jam and she wrote great policies. The TPW team at the Hebbville office treated her like family and it was a pleasure to work with Michele. My deepest condolences to her family. - Patti Pike

My sincere condolences on Michelle’s passing . I was so saddened to hear of Michelle’s passing. She was a colleague of mine for much of my career with The Public Service Commission as well as Department of Transportation. We enjoyed many laughs together and are was my “go to” for advice in my HR world. Michelle knitted me the warmest most lovely socks which i still wear today especially when skiing. She often spoke of her family and it was clear ste loved you all very much as well as her much love furry friend Sophie . May she Rest in Peace.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Michelle’s passing. It was a privilege to know and work with Michelle when she was the HR Business Partner in Western Zone at the Dept of Transportation. She was always so helpful and knowledgeable.
Over the years we had a lot of conversations about work, quilting, renovations being done to her house, the joy Sophie brought to her as well as how close she was to her family.
My sincere condolences to the Thompson family.

So sorry to hear of Michele's passing. I have boarded Michele's dogs over the years and she always stayed at pick up time and had a chat. Michele acquired Sophie from me. I even got to have a tour of her quilt room. Thinking of her family during this sad time.

To the Thompson family. It is with great sadness to hear of Michele’s passing. Michele was a great colleague during our time at the Public Service Commission and Department of Transportation. She was also a wonderful friend. We both shared a love of knitting and sewing which lead to to many discussions and shopping trip together. Her no nonsense attitude was a strength but her love of family was her foundation. She spoke so lovingly about each of you. Her dog Sophie was her joy. Rest easy dear friend. Your tasks are done. My condolences to the Thompson family. God Bless.

Thinking of you all at this difficult time, especially her mom Faye. I also want to acknowledge her amazing neighbours, Anne, Hubert, Charlotte & Mike, who were there for Michele for whatever she or Sophie needed. She spoke of all the time! Michele was a tremendous support to me in helping serve food to our community. She cooked, baked and did whatever else was needed. She enjoyed chatting with all the guests, but took no crap from anyone. That's not surprise though.
Michele, I will miss you, especially at our lunch get togethers.
