Obituary of Shirley Joan King

KING, Shirley Joan (Isnor) – Age 93, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., died on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Percy Gladstone and Letitia Beatrice Isnor.

Prior to her move to Bridgewater, she had lived in Germany and British Columbia. She was a member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church; and member of the Marian Noble Missionary Society. She was a volunteer for the former Dawson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and then South Shore Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was a faithful worker for the hospital Gift Shop.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by a son in infancy.

No visitation at the funeral home by request. A public graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Rev. John Wilton officiating. No flowers please, donations may be made to the Bridgewater Baptist Church, South Shore Regional Hospital or a charity of choice.
