Obituary of Phoenix Wentworth Rockwell

Forever 18

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son, Phoenix Rockwell. Born on January 25, 2008, at the IWK, he left this earth on June 24, 2026, at his apartment in Dartmouth. Phoenix had type 1 diabetes and succumbed to his illness peacefully in his sleep.

Phoenix loved to make people laugh, always joking around, and had a smile that took over his entire face. He loved fishing, and he didn’t even need a rod – all he needed was a hook and line and he could catch fish. He loved to build things; give him wood, nails, and a hammer and you might get a living room table, or he might build his own bed. He loved to go dirt biking, practice his driving, cooking, and tattoos. Spending time with his city friends was his most favourite. Everyone that met him loved him. He had a sweet kitty named Chevy that he loved dearly.

Phoenix leaves behind his Mom and Dad (Josh and Ashley Parsons); a sister (Flora); and grandparents (Heather and Wayne Holman). He was a nephew to Natasha and Bashar Matti, and cousin to Cohen, Riley, Aiden, Tiffany, Nick, Cameron, and Bre. He also leaves behind his biological father Jeff Rockwell; grandparents Janet and Gary Rockwell; and Scott Rockwell.

Phoenix is now reunited with his great grandmothers (Pauline Fraser and Norma Holman); and beloved family friend Margo Cloud.

A celebration of life will be held at the Branch LaHave Community Hall, 1758 Lower Branch Road, on Sunday July 19th, 2026, at 1pm. Donations in Phoenix’s memory may be made to SHAID Animal Shelter or Hope for Wildlife.

Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home Bridgewater, where online condolences may be left at www.sweenysfuneralhome.com
