Obituary of Dwight Lester Bush

It is with profound grief and sorrow, that the family of Dwight Lester Bush, 59, of Bridgewater, announce his sudden passing on June 28th, 2026, at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater.

Born in West Dublin, he was the son of Lester and Imogene (Romkey) Bush.

Dwight was a well-respected carpenter in Lunenburg County for over 30 years.  He started his career with Donald Bush at Shore Side Carpentry in West Dublin and went on to work with Fred Hirtle Carpentry and then to D&S Construction. His last years were spent in the carpentry shop at RPS Composites in Mahone Bay.

Left behind to mourn, is his partner of many years, Marianne Mills, formerly of Lunenburg; her son Adam Garber; his children, Elliot and Molly, of Liverpool; her daughter Kayla (Dan) Board of Bridgewater; and their son Brody. Also, Dwight’s children Elliott and Kyra. He is also survived by his mother Imogene; sisters, Delores Hachey, Bridgewater, Darlene (Dexter) Halliday, East Clifford; brothers, Ernest (Sandra) Spectacle Lakes, Tom, Liverpool and Richard, Alberta; nieces,  Mikayla, Brittany, Charmaine, Nicole; and nephew Daniel.

He was predeceased by his father Lester.

A service to celebrate Dwight's life will be held at West Side United Church at 1pm on Wednesday July 8th. Rev. Neil McEwan officiating. For those who wish to make a donation, you may make a donation to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
