Richard and Family - I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Donna’s passing . We shared wonderful get togethers at the regular Divine Mind gatherings - some she hosted at the farm and she mentored me in gardening know how
But it was singing that we both enjoyed so much together with the annual trek to Tatamagouche or PEI for the Carolyn McDade vocal women’s retreats . Our hearts were filled to the brim joining Carolyn and our fellow choristers . The songs celebrating and mourning the beauty of the natural world and our part in preserving it were deeply moving to all of us . Donna was such an enthusiastic and passionate member of that group - taking photos and making memorable collages she shared with us all , even making globe shaped earrings representing our beautiful Earth that she made available to many of us .And of course our trek to Holy Island, Scotland , for a week of singing in another life altering retreat .
I’ll never forget our rich conversations over the years and all the wisdom she shared .
Donna was an unforgettable, very special , kind and generous woman whose curiosity and vitality will be so deeply missed.
