Obituary of John Raymond DeMone

DeMone, John Raymond – 73, of Upper Northfield, died peacefully at home on August 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

John was a dedicated tire technician at Kal Tire for 52 years. He loved his job and made so many great connections with coworkers and customers over his lengthy career. Even during his illness, he talked with hopes of returning to work there.

John is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Marcia (Rob Wagner) DeMone of Bridgewater; sons, Christopher (Ayesha) DeMone, Bruce (Gerri Ernst) DeMone, both of Bridgewater, and Johnathan DeMone of Upper Northfield; grandchildren, Austin DeMone, Lucas DeMone, Kayla (Matt Short) DeMone, Breanna DeMone, and Alexa DeMone; step-grandchildren Bryce Zinck and Tate Donovan; great-grandchildren, Adam Crouse and Colten Whynot; and several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Florence and Gerald DeMone; grandparents Eva and Austin Dorey; son, Adam DeMone; and brother Brian Dorey.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 17 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm Tuesday August 18 at Bridgewater Baptist Church, followed by burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. Following the service and burial, all are welcome to a reception at the West Northfield Community Hall. Flowers are welcomed, or donations may be made directly to the family.
