Obituary of David Frail

David Gerald Frail 91, of Westfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2001. Born in Westfield, on February 28, 1910, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hannah (Moland) Frail. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a woodsman for many years, a well-known carpenter and served as an interim Industrial Arts teacher at North Queens Rural High, Caledonia for five years. He is survived by is wife of 65 years, the former Sarah Clayton; daughters Virginia (Denton) Mansfield, Garden Lots; Lorraine (Mervyn) Colp; Newcombville; Lynn (Thomas) Conway, Westfield; sons Armel (Donna), Timberlea; Murray (Priscilla) Timberlea; grandchildren Pamela, Blair, Stacey; Michelle; Natasha; and Galen; great-grandchildren Adam, Amelia, Rachael, Matthew, and Adriane; several neices and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Hazel, Marguerite, and Harriet; brothers Gordon, Laurence, and Keith; grandson Trevor. Funeral service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in Westfield United Baptist Church, with Rev. Daniel Walton officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Westfield. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westfield United Baptist Church or the Queens County Branch of the V.O.N. Arrangements are entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. .
