Obituary of William M. Fralic

of William M. "Bill" Fralic Off Bridgewater, passed away on June 11, 2008 at the Veteran’s Unit of the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Conquerall Bank, Lunenburg County, he was the son of the late Harold and Jennie (Slauenwhite) Fralic, Pleasantville. At the early age of 17, he joined the Navy and was a veteran of the Second World War. He later joined Imperial Oil Tankers as Marine Engineer. From there he went on the Coast Guard Ice Breakers obtaining his Stationary Engineer License. He later operated the steam plants at Halifax Hospitals. He is survived by his wife Sylvia (Corkum); son, Billy; daughter-in-law, Annette and 2 grandchildren, Clarissa and Logan; his sister Marguerite (Horton) Winters, Liverpool; nephews, Brian Winters, Liverpool; Scott Winters, Truro; niece Ann (Trask), Dartmouth; 3 grand nephews and 1 grand niece. He was predeceased by many aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice. Ashes will be put to sea at a later date.
