Obituary of Olive Aulenback

Olive Valerie Aulenback 87, formerly of Auburndale, passed away on December 10, 2006, at Harbour View Haven in Lunenburg. Born in Baker Settlement, she was the daughter of Howard and Etta (Garber) Veinot. A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, she was an avid gardener, and had an abiding love of children throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Everett) Ward, Prince George, BC; Betty Lou (Randall) Smith, Lower Branch; Lauren (Donna) Aulenback, Auburndale; Janet James, Dartmouth; Robert (Elizabeth) Aulenback, Auburndale; Sherri Aulenback, Auburndale; seven grandchildren, Susan Ward, Lynda (Lloyd) Rash, Tammy Ernst, Michelle Ernst, Andrew Aulenback, Jennifer (Tony) Gulliver, Adam Aulenback; four great-grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Rash, Kaleigh and Kameron Gulliver; one great-great grandchild Izabelle Rash; and one sister, Betty Norwood. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Fletcher Aulenback; and three sisters, Ethel, Adelia and Laura. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. A private family internment will be held in the Baker Settlement Cemetery, Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice.
