Dear Carole, Blair and David, Todd and Lynn,
I have so many great memories of Bob. He was always there with good advice and a positive can-do spirit. When Todd and I used to pretend we were hockey play-by-play announcers, I wished I could have had his voice. It's hard knowing he's not going to be there for all of you and all his good friends. Our heartfelt condolences to you on Bob’s passing.
I have many fond memories of the MacLaren family, Orris and Sadie, Bob and Beverly, as neighbors and friends. I can remember Bob and Ginny on Telefun as my mother and I would scramble to copy down those recipes and what a gift it was when they were finally published. Bob was always held in high esteem in this community and friends and neighbors were very proud of him and what he accomplished. Bob was always so cheerful, friendly, polite and thoughtful and it was always a pleasure to be in his presence.
I was just looking at the picture of Bob in a 1941 Crousetown School photo. My mom and dad were in that photo, too, and there are only one or two of those students now who are still living. Time passes and life goes around full circle. May your many wonderful memories, good times together and your love for this great man sustain you as you grieve his loss.
My Rob send his regards as well. He would often mention having talked with Bob on the golf course when they were both playing the game they truly love(d).
