Obituary of Percy Goodwin Ringer

of Percy Goodwin Ringer 95, of Bridgewater, passed away March 20, 2008 in the Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Shelburne October 31, 1912, he was a son of the late Calvin and Mary (Hayden) Ringer. He worked for Shelburne Fisheries for 12 years and in 1942, he moved to Bridgewater where he went to work as a conductor with C.N. Railway for 32 years until retirement due to ill health. He was a member of the Brotherhood of C.N. Railway. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Clissie (Crowell); daughters, Betty (Roy) Whynot, Lower Branch; Judy (Walter) Ramey, Hebbville; Glenda (Stanley) Wentzell, Bridgewater; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sherri Lynne; 6 grandchildren; a brother and sisters, Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater or the charity of your choice.
