Obituary of Dawson James Wile

of Dawson James Wile 86, Wileville, Lunenburg County passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Wileville, he was a son of the late Harley and Elsie (Fralic) Wile. A faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, he served on church council and various church committees throughout his lifetime. During his working years he was a prominent dairy and mixed farmer, as well as being one of the first Forest Rangers for Lunenburg County. He was actively involved in numerous groups and organizations within Lunenburg County and throughout the province, including a director of the Bridgewater Farmer's Co-Op Society; member of the Lunenburg West Liberal Association; member of the Lunenburg County Federation of Agriculture; a director for the Nova Scotia Breeding Unit, Truro; and a 4-H leader. Along with his interest in gardening, he loved and worked his forestry acres with his draft horse teams . His interests led him to be an exhibitor for many years at the South Shore Exhibition in Bridgewater. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Beryl (Veno); daughters, Judith Wile, Wileville; Mary Lowe ( Steven), Lower Branch; son, Henry (Carol), Wileville; grandson, Haysley Lowe, Bridgewater; granddaughter, Sarah-Anne Lowe, Lower Branch; sisters, Doris Timberg, Winnipeg; Grace Sabourin, Scarborough; Miriam Dauphinee, Truro; brother, Bernard Wile, Wileville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son in infancy. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 18 at 2 pm at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Private family burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. No f lowers by request. Donations may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgewater.
