Obituary of Eugene Elroy Wile

WILE, Eugene Elroy “Bimp” – age 86 of Bridgewater, passed away early morning at home on Friday, June 23, 2023. He will be deeply missed by many.

Surviving are his long time companion Linda Arenburg of Bridgewater; Ex-Wife and mother of his children Barbara Wile, Pinehurst; sisters Betty Ann MacKay, Pinehurst and Faye Wentzell, Wentzells Lake; brother Ronnie (Joanne) Wile, Bridgewater; sons,  Kim (Lorrie) Wile, Pinehurst; Kerry (Lisa) Wile, Pinehurst; Kevin (Pam) Wile, Wentzells Lake; Kris (Nicole) Wile, Pinehurst; and daughter Kelly-Sue (Karl) Wile, Caledonia; many grand children and great grand children, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Elva (Mossman) Wile, Pinehurst; brothers, Eric Wile & Laurie Wile.

In his youth he even went to Ontario for work picking tobacco. He worked at the Zwicker’s Box Factory next to his home but found his niche driving a truck and never looked back.

Eugene was happiest when driving a truck for many years as owner of his own business and later driving for his son until Covid ended his career in 2020.

For many years on a Saturday night, he could be found in his garage listening to old time country music and enjoying a beer or two with family and friends after repairs were done for the week.

Even after he no longer drove, he was often seen sitting at the Cookville Irving talking to the truck drivers and any old friends who happened along.
