Obituary of Muriel Irene Haughn

Haughn, Muriel Irene - passed peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2023, at the age of 97.  Born February 26, 1926, she was the beloved wife of 42 years to the late Cyril Bradford Haughn.  She was the loving mother of the late Brad Haughn, Leslie Haughn and Sarah Graven.  She was the proud grandmother of Ian and Max Graven.  Muriel will be remembered by her sisters- in-law, Catherine Knock, Jean Haughn and Shirley Haughn; brother- in-law, Paul Haughn.  Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Edna Stevens and by siblings, Elmer (Doris), Dick (Audrey), Alice (Jack), Verna (Joe), Wallace (Irene), Thad (Evelyn), Ruth (Murray) and Catherine. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

 

 Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Muriel was a graduate of Acadia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She took an internship at Toronto General Hospital and worked for many years as a Registered Dietitian at Tampa General Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital and Memorial Hospital, all in Tampa, Florida.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. 

 

A Celebration of Muriel’s Life will be held on Friday August 25, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Pleasantville Baptist Church, reception following, with internment in the West LaHave Cemetery. Donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to the Pleasantville Fire Hall, the Pleasantville Baptist Church or West LaHave Cemetery.
