Obituary of Lorenzo Mailman

Lorenzo Horatio Mailman age 89 of Springfield passed away January 26, 2007 at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Bldg. Halifax. Born in Lake Pleasant, he was the first born of the late A. Watkin and Beatrice (MacDonald) Mailman. He served in the Army with the Cape Breton Highlanders during World War II. He is survived by daughters Linda (Rick) Lewis and Sylvia; sons Dwayne (Sharon) and Paul (Jocelyn); grandchildren Michael Harnish, Trina (Dan) Hebert, Rikk Lewis, Rhonda (Stephan) Morris and Rayanne; five great grandchildren; brothers Shirley (Nola), Merle (Effie) and Bernard; sisters Lina (Doug) Best, Lenora (Emery) Durling, Ethel (Charles) Rose and Theta (Clarence) Overholt; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Ruby; son Bruce; brothers Bertrand and Lawrence; and sisters Lillian, Merna and Cheryl (infancy). Visitation will be held Sunday from 7 to 9 pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany and from where funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, Rev Robert Gates Officiating. A private family internment will follow in the Springfield United Baptist Church Cemetery. Family flowers only.
