Everette Clinton Lohnes
87, of West LaHave passed away Sunday 14 March in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in West LaHave he was the son of the late Josiah and Lillian (Corkum) Lohnes and the last surviving member of his immediate family. Everette was a veteran of World War 2 having served with the Merchant Navy. He is survived by his daughters Linda (David) Robar, Halifax; Diann (Wayne) Robar, Halifax; sons Gary (Susan), Pentz; Brian (Andrea), West LaHave; Ronald, Bridgewater; grandchildren Catherine, Christopher, Ryan, Kyle, Hannah, Kasey and Campbell, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline (Meisner). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to C.F. Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service by request. A private family burial will be at a later date. A gathering of family and friends for a time of remembrance will be held 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Thursday 18 March at the home of Brian and Andrea Lohnes, 1956 Highway 331, West LaHave. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peters Anglican Church, West LaHave, The Nova Scotia Lung Association or the charity of choice.
