Violet Marie Croft
Age 90, Hebbville, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay, where she had been residing. Born in Branch LaHave, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Sr. and Beulah (Young) Bolivar. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Halverson and son-in-law, Harold, New Minas; grandson, Neil (Donna), great-grandson, Ben, age 18 of Rhodes Corner; grandson, Jason (Bonnie), great-grandchildren, Kael, age 10, Emma age 6, all of Fall River. Her sisters, Viola Blackadar, Parkdale; Valerie Rand, Blockhouse; brothers, Edgar Jr. (Bertha), Eldridge (Joan), all of Branch LaHave; Earl (Dorothy), Cookville; Ernest (Elizabeth), Blockhouse; sister-in-law, Janet Bolivar, Halifax; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Wendell in 1994; son, Gerald “Jerry” in 1964; sister, Verley Arenburg; brother, Elwood Bolivar; brothers-in-law, Basil Arenburg, Raymond Blackadar, Boyd Rand; brother and sister-in law, Donald and Marie Croft and her most beloved kitty, Lucky. Mom loved hummingbirds, kitties and dogs. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with funeral service at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, February 28 in All Saints Lutheran Church, Newcombville. Rev. Willis Ott will be officiating with reception to follow. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church or the Rose Fund. The family wish to thank the staff at Mahone Nursing Home for the compassionate, loving and kind care given to Mom during the almost three years of care.
