Obituary of Maureen Ann Wade
Maureen Ann Wade – 75, Barss Corner, passed away peacefully, with her husband at her side, on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Winnifred (Ryan) Feetham. Maureen was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, where she was actively involved. She worked in administration at Dalhousie University, Halifax, for ten years and then at Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany for four years, from where she retired. She enjoyed knitting and made hundreds of caps and mittens which she donated to various organizations. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and traveling in the car and visiting with family and friends. Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; daughter, Michelle Wade, Toronto; sons, Brent, Toronto; Daniel (Marlene), Bedford; Ross, Dartmouth; Mark, Newburne; sister, Anita (Greg) LaPlante, Prospect Bay; brothers, Greg (Sandra) Feetham, Summerside, Prince Edward Island; Bryan (Rose) Feetham, Halifax; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10, New Germany, where Maureen’s family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral mass to celebrate Maureen’s life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church (please use parking lot side entrance), 115 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, Father Jim MacDonald, OMI, officiating.
