Obituary of June Margaret Killam

June Margaret (Meade) Killam – 81, Bridgewater, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.  Born June 13, 1935 in Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late George and Blanche (Baker) Meade. June is survived by her husband, Victor; two sons; one daughter; brother, Ronald (Mabel) Meade, Moncton, New Brunswick; half brothers, Elliott (April) Henry; Gerald (Donna) Henry; half sisters, Patricia (George) Swan, Evelyn Moss; granddaughter, Lindsy (Jamie) Lowe, Wolfville; many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are step-sons, Ralph (Susan), Harold (Terry), David (Karen) and their children and grand-children. The family would like to thank the staff at South Shore Regional Hospital for the care and compassion shown to June during her stay. Also, a very heartfelt thank you to her special friend, Susan, for all her support. Along with her parents, June was predeceased by her sister, Pearl (Fulton) Power. Working in the retail and fashion industry, June always took great pride in her personal appearance. She found great joy from working in her gardens and when family came to visit and also found comfort from her collection of angels. She was an Associate Member of Royal Canadian Legion for 37 years. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny`s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, where a service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017, Reverend Willis Ott officiating. Reception will follow at Bridgewater Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bridgewater Fire Department or Canadian Cancer Society.
